Christie Foundation Health Education Scholarships Available

$125,000 to be Awarded to East Central Illinois Students.

The Christie Foundation, a Champaign-based non-profit organization working to enhance medical knowledge, education, and medical services for citizens and health care practitioners in east central Illinois, has opened its 2012-2013 Health Education Scholarship application process.

Students in Christie Clinic’s east central Illinois region who are pursuing degrees related to the field of medicine anywhere in the United States through a traditional educational program are encouraged to apply online at www.christie-foundation.org/scholarships/apply/. Those interested in serving the health care needs of East Central Illinois after graduation are given preference.

The Foundation anticipates awarding over $125,000 in scholarships for the 2012-2013 school year. In the last 15 years, the Christie Foundation has awarded over $1,275,000 in scholarships to students pursuing degrees in the medical field. From pharmacology to nursing to nutrition to surgery and many other fields, Christie Foundation’s Health Education Scholarships are focused on creating and supporting tomorrow’s medical professionals.

Scholarship applicants must be enrolled in full-time, or entering, an approved health profession program at the certificate, associate, bachelor, or graduate level and have been a resident for at least five years in Champaign, DeWitt, Douglas, Ford, Iroquois, Moultrie, Piatt, or Vermilion Counties in Illinois
